First, we would like to thank everyone that attended our Mallory webinar. Mallory is Intrepidus Group’s in-house developed Man in The Middle Tool (MiTM) that we use to test mobile devices and applications. Several excellent questions were asked during this webinar. In response we have written up a guide to using the Mallory Minimal virtual machine and are distributing the Torrent for this virtual machine here.

First, download the [download id="269" format="2"]

Once you have the VM check out the Mallory Minimal VM Guide.

The guide walks through common setup scenarios with the virtual machine. You may also be interested in theĀ  SETUP document for Mallory if you want to build a virtual machine from scratch.

    Good updates. Thanks!

The VM torrent was a little slow this morning, but it’s speeding up now. I just updated my existing install in the meantime to leverage VPN. Much easier…great tip!

Also, python-qt4 install didn’t seem to work in the default Ubuntu 10.04 LTS install, which obviously prevents you from launching the GUI. I had the same problem on 2 separate, fresh installs. You need to run apt-get update before trying to grab the qt4 dependencies. Otherwise, apt won’t understand the alias and/or won’t grab the right binaries.

It launches like a champ now.

Awesome job guys… Now we just need some more seeders for the torrent.

    Got zero presently.
